Mary Brandon Park is small city park near the northeast corner of the West Palm Beach Golf Course and just east of Forest Hill High School and the West Palm Beach Country Club. The park is named after politician Mary Brandon, a member of the West Palm Beach, Florida, city’s Parks and Recreation Commission in the 1960s. This was the first dog park built by the City of West Palm Beach.
The dog park was built in 1999 and is comprised of two adjoining, but separately fenced, areas made up of grass, dirt, and gravel. There is one area is for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and one for large dogs (25 pounds and over). There are partially-shaded benches within the park and doggie water fountains near the entrance.
Along with additional family-friendly amenities, there is plenty of parking and a picnic area with public restrooms.
Mary Brandon Dog Park is managed and operated by the West Palm Beach Parks & Recreation Department.
